Venture out beyond Mundesley and Overcliff Lodge has just become a great base to explore the wealth of natural beauty Norfolk has to offer.
The vast sandy beaches of the north and east coasts are simply stunning in every season.
The wealth of nature reserves and areas of outstanding natural beauty, including The Broads, are on the door step and provide amazing places to walk, cycle, sail and bird watch.
Overcliff Lodge is on the Norfolk Coast Path, which runs from Hunstanton to Hopton-on-Sea. The path also links up with Peddars Way to the west and Weavers’ Way to the east; simply the perfect way to experience this exceptional county.
Norfolk’s Seal Colonies are a sight to behold. There are the pups on Horsey beach over the winter or take a boat trip to see seals basking on Blakeney Point.
In amongst the vast tracts of Norfolk countryside are dotted quaint villages, National Trust properties and lovely towns to explore like Holt, Aylsham and Burnham Market, full of history, galleries, cafes and boutique shops for browsing and buying!
Or for the full 'city experience,' Norwich is just 40 minutes away with its 2 Cathedrals, Castle Museum and an array of independent shops in The Lanes.
As well as the beaches, there are many family attractions too, including Bewilderwood, a forest adventure park, Pensthorpe Park and Amazona Zoo in Cromer, to name just a few.
Norfolk offers some stunning Golf Courses too, from Mundesley’s own 9 hole ‘golfing gem’ to Royal Cromer, Sheringham and Brancaster.
There’s information aplenty to browse in The Main House and Garden Room; so much to enjoy within easy distances, all with the sanctuary of Overcliff Lodge to return to.
